$subForm = new Form_SubForm(); //this can be a Zend_Form or Zend_Form_SubForm     
$subForm->setIsArray(true);
$this->addSubForm($subForm, 'subform');

Elements will be rendered with a id of subform-elementname and a name of subform[elementname].
